This is a bug in my earlier PMU changes recently that is fixed by the
later patchset I sent out (but evidently isn't in the Werner tree that
your kernel came from).
Its nothing to do with SIM or MicroSD, it's just that the bug took a
crap on the PMU RTC ops table and hwclock cannot operate without
segfault. It should just crap out and continue boot though without
affecting anything else.
Anyway, already fixed just needs a kernel with the full 10 part PMU
fixes in.
