Hi folks -

On the plane I examined the schematics with even more fervour than usual
since there was nothing else to do.

I see a 1K R1018 is sitting there pulling down the base of a
common-emitter configured Q1000.  Gah that doesn't do anything except
burn <= 3mW when you push MODEM_ON high, we can take it out unless I
missed something.
