Well I won't bother doing the $WRITE_ONCE_IS_EVIL bit since we already
found a better way on GTA03.

I also think it doesn't buy us anything to mess with what seems to be
working OK so far already when the downside could be bad and the upside
is pretty contained.  But as the NAND U-Boot it's a nice power behaviour
update.
