Hi -

Just a heads up that the SD Card clock gating patches just went in
stable, despite they didn't get enough testing vs variety of cards out
there.

Today I read via Joerg that the original "SD Card affects GPS problem"
guy sbeh (owe him beers) made tests with current andy branch and within
the variation on his three tries the patch is as effective as taking the
SD card out. Maybe that story will get more complicated over time but
it seems reason enough to risk some breakage on non-shipped cards for a
while.

Separately, earlier Sean McNeil and Mickey Lauer reported that some SD
cards don't work well anyway. One of the patches I am putting in allows
to control SD Card clock rate from commandline so maybe that can help
there too.
