 OK I found something : if I restart pulseaudio it unfreezes the sound
 system. So basically

 root at om-gta02:~# /etc/init.d/pulseaudio restart

 allows to play with asound again. But in order to get pulseaudio working
 again (clicking noise, ringrone, etc)

 Have to restart X to get pulseaudio working again :

 root at om-gta02:/etc/pulse# /etc/init.d/xserver-nodm restart

 Hope this norrows it down...
