OK, I try to figure this out more completely.

I see we get a power-on on USB power insertion which is sufficient for
that end, but if you're charging and you go ahead and actually "turn the
thing off", ie, enter pcf50633 "standby", I am not sure if we can keep
the GPIO state up to keep the LED lit.  In suspend we can do it, what
the meaning is between the cigarette-paper distance between suspend and
"off" needs understanding first.
