Sure, I am working on that one too.

The pixel clock is kept the same, we just no longer throw away 20% of
the pixels per frame in meaningless "blanking", so we get 75Hz framerate.

As you say it is a workaround, we didn't really understand the problem
any more than seeming to trace it to being a feature of the LCM, for
which we don't have useful documentation.
