Indeed. But it's also sad that it (still) took us so long to figure
out the right question to ask.

So I guess we should adopt some time-honored practice from robbers
when approaching companies for documentation, and demand "give us
everything you have", not timidly ask "could you please hand us
what you think we'll need".

We had a similar episode once with a hardware design guide for
the 2442 CPU. We only found out that this document even existed
about half a year after designing the circuit that uses the
chip :-( Luckily, we had no major discrepancies from Samsung's
recommendations (the bug we've been chasing back then was at a
different place), but things could have easily been considerably
worse ...
