That would be good, or push them into both trees simultaneously if

Should be, only problem I can see with that is that you may have to also
pull over other ASoC core updates if they collide but the ASoC stuff is
pretty free standing so that shouldn't cause any hassle.

Yes, it should do.  I'll certainly be rather annoyed if it doesn't since
there's rather a lot of other ASoC updates queued up in Takashi's tree.
Note that the merge window is likely to open in the next week or so so
there's not much time to get stuff into 2.6.28.
