Kernel migration update?

On the 18th of last month, there was a discussion where it was
determined that Om would move to 2.6.26.

Along with that discussion, Andy mentioned that he had a completely new
mechanism going into the 2.6.26 kernel that managed the ordering of the
suspend/resume processes.

Can we have an update please?  Or better yet, a date for the switch?
And still better than even that alone, a glance at the code or API for
the new mechanism?

I can't speak for others, but I know that my work on anything
kernel-related is completely stalled waiting for this.
