I don't think this is as simple as it sounds. All the audio adjustments 
are done
by the DSP in the Calypso, they are only passed through to th DSP. So its
necessary to find a place where to store the settings and find the routines
where the settings have to be set so that they are used for every call and
of course don't mess up anything because the settings are set at the wrong
time.

If there is already a  working patch for the user application to set those
settings, this is most certainly the better way to do it. Of course its not
impossible to do it in firmware, I just wonder if the benefits from such an
implementation justify the expected effort it.
