How would you stand in his way anyway? :-)
Practically this stays at 1s until something better comes along... I
guess the semantic here is the /sys blocks until "the modem is ON and
ready for a new command". That sounds pretty fine.
One day or maybe already GSM init will be async to the main boot path
and we don't really care then.
