| One problem though: from the user's point of view, you turn on
| the phone and "nothing" happens. I tried enabling the boot logo
| on the kernel, but I can't get it to work (admitedly I didn't
| spend _that_ much time on the issue, has anyone figured it out?)

The backlight does come up in a few seconds, that's noticeable if you're
out of bright sunlight. And there is some red LED lighting business as
well at the start to show it is booting.

Sean McNeil had the boot thing working in his config, so I guess he had
it working. If people are left without enough feedback, we could set
this up and make it conditional on a kernel commandline parameter,
something Qi sets but U-Boot doesn't.

| From _my_ POV it's really wonderful: I can upload kernels to the
| SD card, set up symlinks, reboot and voilà, new kernel running.

Yes if you work by SD Card it makes a lot of sense. GTA03 is based on
Qi from the start and is also SD Card -centric.
