Turns out it's indeed WLAN again - not a straight delay but (slow)
retrieval of debug logs.

The difference between the first and the following suspends was
caused by my experiment setup: I didn't touch WLAN before the first
suspend, so it didn't have much to report. But after resume, I
checked if it was alive, and this gave it almost three seconds
worth of story to tell ...

The debug logs are just some binary data the firmware spews out,
so they're of little use to us. Appendectomy coming ...
