Tim's patches were for GTA01, where AUX can (technically) be used as a
wakeup source.

In GTA02, there's the problem that AUX switches between NOR and NAND
boot and its state must not change before the code in question has left
the region that gets switched. In practice, this means that a short
press on AUX to wake up the system would cause crashes or other
surprises.

Whether it's a good idea to use AUX as a wakeup source in GTA01,
knowing that whatever application does this will not work on GTA02, is
a different story :)
