This is excellent news.  I assume this solution does not involve OE at
all and is pure Debian build process.

I use Debian in runlevel 3 at the moment, I noticed the initscripts are
pretty slow.  Are there alternative initscript systems around already in
Debian like upstart to allow parallelization?  It seems to me this is
"low hanging fruit" that can be improved, especially if you have a free
hand with a fresh OS.
