There is a workaround that should be in recent versions of most distros. This 
should cut in for an hour if frequent reregistrations are detected. FSO also 
has a config option to enable it permanently as some people suffering 
reregistration don't have it often enough to trigger the detection, but still 
have problems with it. Stick the setting below in the [ogsmd] section 
of /etc/frameworkd.conf

ti_calypso_deep_sleep = never

If you want more details search the lists for AT%SLEEP=2 or some suitable 
substring.
