can't flash NAND

I have followed the instructions on the wiki to add or change an entry in the
boot menu, but after I save the env (saveenv) nothing has been added or
changed. Any thoughts anyone? The version of U-Boot is 1.3.2-moko12 (May  9
2008 - 10:28:48). The reason for this is to boot Om2008.9 which needs the ro
option removed from the boot parms.
