my sound and aux/power buttons are dead

Thanks Jim. Indeed, that was the problem. When I added "keyboard", I
inadvertently added a line break which put "--titlebar &" on a new line.
I removed the line break, rebooted, and voila! The sound and the aux/power
buttons started functioning again.
