gprs with vodafone

i found http://wiki.openmoko.org/wiki/Vodafone_pppd_scripts  but it is  
not clear to me what else then placing this script to the proper  
places on  the device I should do to to get gprs up and running.  It  
all looks kind of complicated and not very mistake tolerant. All I  
want is the gprs to be available for internet connection. I run the  
latest version of fdom. I need a straigh list of steps to be taken  
without any alternatives or site steps. It would be great if some of  
you could help me out.
