i installed paroli after the problems surfaced - i was mistakenly
under the impression that paroli provided an application launcher and
would be an alternative to illume. but it doesn't and isn't

> /etc/init.d/xserver-nodm stop
> rm -rf /home/root/.e
> opkg install -force-reinstall <theme from above>
> /etc/init.d/xserver-nodm start

hmm, how bizzare

i carried out angus' suggestions, and when the x srver re-started, i
was told there were no menu entries, and then was given an opportunity
to create some

now i'm being told
"there was an error loading module named conman/linux-gneueabi-arm/module.so:

would you like to unload this?"

and still no icons on the desktop
