Xrander (Resolution question)

Hello dear all

on my FR with GTA02 revision 20081029 

i have a small problem 

when i"ve tried to change the resolution 
xrandr -s 240x480 
i get the output:
Size 240x480 notfound in available modes

can i somehow add the available modes? cause for my purposes i need
resolution to be 240x480

and the available modes are only 
#xrandr
480x640
640x480
240x320
320x240
