I'm not saying it's dangerous for the phone or for your safety, just
that the charging circuit will prevent the charging of the battery
above a certain temperature... in that case the solar panel will be
generating energy that you could only use for the operating budget but
not to store.

It's a moot point anyway... with a tiny panel there isn't enough power
to charge the battery.
