bsod?

I think I just got a bsod: after inputing the pincode, om went to 
suspend mode (*) and when I went to resume it didn't respond. I had to 
take the battery out. Is this a common issue with the new image 
om2008.12? I don't remember having got it with the original image, but I 
used it little. Will another distribution work better?

(*) the inactivity timeout is too short for my taste. Can I (easily) 
increase it?
