SHR - Testing (sms bug?)

I recently flashed the testing version of SHR.  So far very impressed.

I've run into a bug where I try to send a sms message, it appends a 1 to the
front of the number (from my contacts list) and then I get a message from my
carrier that the 10-digit number is invalid.

Any ideas?
