not useful. apps are not kernels or daemons. they dont go logging before they
crash. that white box you see *IS* the log. well.. it's the "i've crashed. and
you now have the opportunity to find out why, before you abort or continue" by
using gdb. use gdb to attach to enlightenment's PID:

gdb enlightenment PID

(where PID is the process id of the enlightenment process), and you can do
backtraces, print out variables etc. etc. this of course requires you at the
least have e + it's libs compiled with gdb debugging. without that you wont get
anything useful. :)
