I installed navit on Om2009 r5 and it works fine. We need get out speech-dispacher from init.d, like this

update-rc.d -f speech-dispatcher remove

and we need make an /usr/bin/navit1, so that it starts speech-dispatcher before navit, and stops it afterwards. See http://lists.openmoko.org/nabble.html#nabble-td1088795.

And edit navit.desktop for exec navi1 ;D

All works very well and I can use free runner as gps navigator.

I have two small problems, I present here, becouse someone with more experience using navit can help me.

First is that the volume of voice is barely heard. It listening at low volume.
how to increase volume?
I think espeak runs mplayer, but I'm not sure.

And Second I do not understand what it said, I have chosen the language 'es' (spanish) in /usr/share/navit/navit.xml.Like this

<speech type="cmdline" data="spd-say -l es '%s'"/>

better hear language 'en' ? What do you think those using 'en'?

maybe I should use Flite instead of espeak? It is posible?

Thanks a lot

Regards
