Implement a gsmd version number scheme

Version information is stored in the version.h file.  I couldn't find a
previous location for version information- should it be pulled from somewhere?

The function print_version() was added to gsmd.c to actually print the info. 
If this is not acceptable, please let me know how to fix it.
