 Hi Will,
  Splinter has tag (As you asked before), It has been pre-installed in the
 ASU image.

 That means it will automatically shown on Installer.  (Assassin)

 Now, you can remove it, and install it back as you wish.

 I think the behaviour, you see now, is normal.
