 this only affects 2007.2

 if you edit your /etc/pulse/session file to use a different ringtone, and
 the ringtone you use is longer than about 1.7 seconds, when the phone
 rings you hear it playing over itself - it starts playing again before it
 has finished playing through the first time.

 it would appear that the ringtone's length is hardcoded into the software
 somewhere rather than being detected from the ringtone file.
