Hi Andy,

Thanks for your reply. Sorry, I should have said that I had chmod'd it
to begin with.

ls reveals:

joseph at joseph-work:~/DFU$ ls -l dfu-util
-rwxr-xr-x 1 joseph joseph 706018 2007-12-05 12:04 dfu-util
