In this case, it is
AT+COPS=1,2,"20810"

where 20810 is my provider
mm.... I may also ask for manual mode (not roaming automatically)..
don't remember the command right now.

I have a bug filled for this case where qtopia seems to issue these
commands without the quotes, and it fails...
