debian/apm/apmd - experimenting

I tried to use suspend/resume with debian and the sd_idleclk scripts for
fixing the sd-card bug.
I found two versions of the sd card bugfix. One with the apm.o version
from Christian Adams (which is in the wiki page) and one with two
scripts in /etc/apm/suspend.d and /etc/apm/resume.d (which i would
prefer) from -stacy.
I don't know which one is better, but after a short test with apm -s i
found out that the script in the suspend.d dir is not executed at
suspend. :/

But my real problem starts when it comes to resume my neo.
How would i do this?

The power button has no function at all while in suspend, no matter how
long i press it. It seems that somehow the link between the power button
and the resume function is not given by default even though it is
written in the debian wiki page.

How could i realize this connection for resuming with the power button?

At the moment i had to pull out the battery to get my neo out of suspend
and starting again. :(

Ciao,
     Rainer
