USB connector not Mini-AB?

No - that link is to a mini-ab connector while the Freerunner uses a mini-b 
connector. I'd need to check the USB specs to be sure, but I think the 
suggestion is now that devices that can do both client and host mode use the 
mini-ab socket while the mini-b socket is used for devices that only do 
client-mode. Whether this had been agreed when the Freerunner was being 
designed is another matter.
