[Debian] apt-get upgrade made the FR die...

am i right in assuming that you
a) are running debian from sd card and
b) have /boot as separate fat partition
?
if so, unmount /boot, run
apt-get -f install
this should fix any half installed packages
afterwards copy the files in /boot somewhere, remount /boot and copy the  
files back to /boot

the linking issue is a issue with dpkg itself and using fat is discouraged  
now.
there were several messages regarding this issue the last weeks ...
