Actually Xiangfu did the work to chop down U-Boot and get it started.
After that I gave it more attention.

U-Boot is basically on a mission to duplicate Linux, it's quite obvious
when you look at the flow of drivers from Linux to U-Boot, getting
dumber and they transfer.

Qi's concept is to do the minimum to pull in the Linux kernel and start
it, and to have no configuration.  Everything that would otherwise bloat
the bootloader is the domain of Linux that the bootloader starts.
Bootloader == "load" then "boot", everything else in the bootloader not
necessary for those two is evil.

If you try Qi you'll find it is considerably faster than our U-Boot.
