Or it could be left blank so any image could be applied to it.  A sticker decal sheet to apply one of a selection of different images to let it appeal to as large a group as possible.  It might be hard to get a sticker that wouldn't come off when rolled up.

On older Unix keyboards the meta/super key had a diamond shaped graphic.
