And what do I do if I happen to have one?

On my FR any sound from earpiece is so low that it could be barely
heard even in noise-free environment.

I use android with TonePicker's settings tuned to maximum + patched
asound.conf (mono playback volume in earpiece section), but still it's
_not_ usable as a phone. :(

I admit I didn't do extensive testing, but other people seem to have
no real trouble with the volume, so I suspect more and more that the
hardware itself is buggy...
