The error you see (method SetBTHeadsetPlaying emited error:
org.bluez.Error.NotAvailable: Operation not Available) has nothing to
do with FSO, it's bluetoothd misconfiguration.

Uncomment "SCORouting=PCM" setting in [General] section of
/etc/bluetooth/audio.conf, then reboot the phone (or stop both
frameworkd and bluetoothd and then start them again), ensure Bluetooth
resource is claimed etc.

Digital Pioneer just confirmed it works for him. I'll add this detail
to the wiki.
