strange df behaviour

I ran into the same problem some time ago.
I format relevant partitions specifying the
block-size and inode-size.

  mkfs.ext3 -b 1024 -i 4096 /dev/mmcblk0p5 -L mmc5
 
This worked fine for me sofar :-)
