memory usage/leaks ?

which mostly hangs (the gui was completely locked for hours):

hald is 100MB and qpe is 70MB virtual size (again pretty large, but only virtual...)

after killing hald the FR worked fine again. 
restarting hald showed a ~4 MB process for now...
