replied to the wrong email? Check "RFC Openmoko Distribution and Software 
release process". I talked yesterday about setting DISTRO_TYPE to release. As 
you are a OE developer as well you could know that this is changing dropbear 
to disallow password less login and calls zap_password on the rootfs. 
(image.bbclass).

it feels strange to read this today as I sent a mail about this yesterday...
