Mea cupla, you are absolutely correct.  Even though countless people
have complained about the lack of a reasonable default setting in
/etc/resolv.conf on first boot on many different openmoko mailing lists
and IRC channels, it seems that a bug report has never been filed.

https://docs.openmoko.org/trac/ticket/2056 corrects that omission.

Now, let's get a community manager hired so they can talk to the creator
of the FDOM distribution, and find out all the things he had to fix to
get a reasonable default working distribution, and then fix all those
things in the source repository so that people using ASU, FSO, SHR or
FDOM don't need to fix them every single time they reflash.
