building Holgers qtopia git repo

Hello,

could somebody give me a hint for cross compiling a snapshot of Holgers
qtopia git repo?
I've tried it with the latest openmoko toolchain (16. Sep 2008).
Unfortunately I get the error that it can't find "new" when configure is 
trying to build qmake.
There is no "new.h" anywhere in that toolchain.
With the toolchain from 28.12.2007 the configure script can build qmake 
without this error,
but it builds qmake for ARM, not for i386. This breaks the rest of the 
build process.
