Thanks for the efforts. I was checking the PO file and found a
little issue:

$ msgfmt -cv ru.po
ru.po:226: number of format specifications in 'msgid' and 'msgstr[0]'
does not match
ru.po:240: number of format specifications in 'msgid' and 'msgstr[0]'
does not match
ru.po:253: number of format specifications in 'msgid' and 'msgstr[0]'
does not match
ru.po:266: number of format specifications in 'msgid' and 'msgstr[0]'
does not match
msgfmt: found 4 fatal errors
46 translated messages, 11 fuzzy translations, 3 untranslated messages.

In the following rule
> "Plural-Forms: nplurals=3; plural=(n%10==1 && n%100!=11 ? 0 : n%10>=2 && n%"
> "10<=4 && (n%100<10 || n%100>=20) ? 1 : 2);\n"

msgstr[0] is chosen when (n % 10 == 1 && n % 100 != 11).

So, for example,
> #: src/e_nav_item_location.c:718 src/e_nav_taglist.c:64
> #, c-format
> msgid "One year ago"
> msgid_plural "%d years ago"
> msgstr[0] "?????? ??????????"
> msgstr[1] "%d ???????? ??????????"
> msgstr[2] "%d ?????? ??????????"
msgstr[0] is chosen when n is 1 or n is 11, 21, 31, ...

There should also be a "%d" in msgstr[0]. Could you fix this issue and
resend the PO file?

As for the POT file, there is no policy such as string freeze in
Openmoko and no platform to help translators' work yet. For now, the
following POT file should work for Om2008.8 and Om2008.9:

http://people.openmoko.org/olv/tmp/om-locations_0.2.pot
