opkg: remove and purge discard error codes

Hi there,

I had some tryings on opkg and i am a bit confused because opkg seems to
  not return error codes opkg_purge_cmd and opkg_remove_cmd. I know that
this behavior is taken over from ipkg but can you give me a reason why
this is handled that way?
