The first shipment got installed wrong at the factory. see

FIC has been plagued with big mistakes like this. Another one is that
the phone you have is only triband, not quadband, because the circuit
board. They are just a small shop working on an ideal against the
tide, though, so I give them the benefit of the doubt and hold out for
the day when all cellphones are open source.
