to be fair, ive still not looked at the drivers or uboot, but to make
sure we do not misunderstand each other I've taken the liberty to
capture 2 small png from the V5 schems for you:

U1701 is the PMU

ps: i've changed the cc to hardware at lists. already too much noise on
community@, i doubt somebody who can use this reads that list a lot ;)
