Oh, sorry.  I did not notice werners' recent updates to

yes, I've noticed that.  You have to feed it .INF files with the vid/pid
combination in order to make mprog work again :)

I think programming on linux should now work fine with werners patch, so
there is no need for any further investigation into this issue. thanks!
