I2c leads

I'm very interested in adding an ANT (thisisant.com) transceiver to the
neo1973 GTA02 when it is released.The chip that I'd like to use is the
nRF24AP1 (http://www.nordicsemi.com/index.cfm?obj=product&act=display&pro=88)
I think that I'll use an fpga to bridge the I2c bus to the transceiver chip.
Are the i2c leads easily accessible? is their a better way I should set this
up? are board schematics going to be available?
